Dear All,
Finally freedom is what I'm thinking while being sad about being away for so many days. Quite weird isn't it? Already having an argument with myself. But Me, Myself and I talked about it and agree... If all difficulties were known at the outset of a long journey, most of us would never start out at all.
The trip started for me on the last minutes of the 3rd of July in Utrecht (Holland) where I took the bus to Hamburg. At 23:55 the bus drove off to the land of the Germans... the bus packed with Dutch, Germans, Danish and Finnish people immediately gave me a holiday feeling and kinda covered the sad thought of not seeing you for a long time.
In the bus I sat next to a guy who introduced himself as Tim... Surprisingly, he wasn't joking at all. And Tim told me he was going to a religious/christian festival in Denmark. 6,5 ours we talked, I slept, A guy in the bus got arrested at the German border, I drunk my bottle of water in the first 10 mins (which has probably a lot to do with stress). When we finally arrived in Hamburg I was so tired, so exhausted from that short dodgy night I almost fell a sleep waiting for Franzi at the Haubtbahnhof... I sat down under the big M of Mc Donalds and waited for Franzi to arrive...
Suddenly a smiling face around the corner... Mann Läuft :D
After a big hug we went to the desk to get ourselves a TGV ticket from Amsterdam to Paris and we are soooo lucky we can leave at BLOODY 06:25 from the Ultimate City Of Sin (Amsterdam). After that we got some food and got the train to some mini station 20 minutes away from Hamburg. There was Franzi's car (an immature green min jeep in puberty) which safely took us to Seestermühe.
get drinks for the party (Franzi's Party), stole a sign in the supermarket which said Frau Fröhlich :D, played singstar with the two of us (Franzi always let me win)...
Saturday the 5th July we cleaned the garage, got some tables-couches-benches, 4 German dudes a van arrived with a massive tent, Svenja, Eltje and Carina arrived. And the preparation for the party finally started! Putting up tables, Putting up the massive tent, Decorating the garage with a bunch of branches, Putting lights up, Getting all the drinks to the garage... Then finally, the first beer of the day and certainly not the last... We were done preparing!
That night, I talked (in by bloody crappy German and in English), I drank, I danced, I drank a bit more, I ate some AMAZING cake, I drank, and then, I drank tooo much, was tired and went to bed.....Finally freedom is what I'm thinking while being sad about being away for so many days. Quite weird isn't it? Already having an argument with myself. But Me, Myself and I talked about it and agree... The day after Svenja, Eltje, Carina, Franzi, Katharina, Wurst (the dog) Jackie and me went to the Elbe to walk a bit at the beachy thing. I tried talking with a couple of sheep but the only thing they said was Beeeeeeeeeeeh... So if anybody has a suggestion what Beeeeeeeeeeeh could mean. Help me out! Desperate here to understand this intelligent specie!
But overall I won, because I'm already on holiday and Franzi isn't YET...
Cheers,
Tim
